Association Membership

The RA is a not-for-profit Association serving the community for over 80 years.

Becoming part of the RA means joining a supportive and diverse community of individuals of all ages who share a passion for health, wellness, sport, and recreation as well as social connection. As a member, you have a voice in your Association, and we welcome your engagement, suggestions and feedback. Your membership helps to maintain and develop outstanding facilities and services, offers you special pricing on select RA programs and allows you to take advantage of RA Member Offers from RA Sponsors and partners.


RA ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP ("RA Membership")

Membership is open to everyone
The RA will make every reasonable effort to ensure that its policies, practices and procedures are consistent with the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity. ​The Association is committed to providing an environment that is free of violence and harassment for all members, visitors and employees. ​

Please note:
  • In order to vote at our AGM, you must be an association member, but you do not need to be an association member to participate in RA programs. 
  • By purchasing an annual membership to an RA Club or the LifeFIT fitness centre you are also joining our not-for-profit Association. Annual Club and LifeFIT Members enjoy the benefits and privileges of an Association Membership for the duration of their Club or LifeFIT membership. (Initial and separate Association Membership purchase is no longer required.)

Individuals who wish to enjoy the benefits and privileges of an Association Membership but who are not currently an annual RA Club or LifeFIT fitness member may purchase an RA Association Membership (12 months from the date of purchase).

Fees (plus hst):
  • RA Association Membership – Individual: $40 + $3 Facility Renewal Fee* = Total Cost: $43
  • RA Association Membership – Family: $75 + $5.63 Facility Renewal Fee* = Total Cost: $80.63​

The definition of a family member is a group of one or more parents and their children living together as a unit.
