Effective January 1, 2025, the RA will be introducing a Facility Renewal Fee across most of our offerings to address urgent and growing needs within our facilities. This decision was not made lightly but comes after careful consideration of the increasing pressure from a long list of deferred maintenance, essential repairs, and the ongoing need to renew and sustain our assets. As a result this new fee will be critical in ensuring that our facilities remain safe, accessible, and enjoyable for all members and guests. Read more. January 22, 2024 - OTTAWA The RA is pleased to be a recipient of $100,000 in funding from the government of Ontario through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport’s 2023-2024 Ontario Sport Hosting Program. This funding will support the RA as hosts of the 2024 Canadian U-18 Curling Championships. Read more. Ian Fraser, a well-respected community leader, local entrepreneur and former elite triathlete is anticipated to take the helm on January 15, 2024, following a transition period over the coming months. December 22, 2022 - OTTAWA The 2024 Canadian Under-18 Curling Championships will be hosted at the RA Centre’s Curling Centre of Excellence and the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club next year, it was announced today by Curling Canada. Read More. November 25, 2022 - OTTAWA $500,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant and $100,000 Tourism Relief Fund Gives Curling Centre of Excellence New Universal and Inclusive Community Spaces.
