February 2022
The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) has approved our request for $500,000 in funding through the Community Building Fund – Capital Stream which will help the RA continue the transformation in our multi-year Curling Centre of Excellence (CCE) project.
OTTAWA ON - These funds were secured from OTF for the renovation of the old hockey-style dressing rooms and represent a tremendous opportunity to respond to member and community needs and champion inclusivity and accessibility. This new inclusive environment will feature gender-neutral, barrier-free washrooms, change rooms and shower areas to benefit everyone including for example, those who have personal health requirements or mobility challenges and those who may require assistance (ie. children and seniors). In addition, lockers and a welcoming common space designed to encourage ease of movement and casual social interactions will complete the space in time for the start of the next curling season (Fall 2022).
